About us
Stars on Land is an independent travel agency based in Markham, Ontario. We are not VIA Rail Canada and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official representative of VIA Rail or any rail operator. We act as an agent, arranging travel services provided by third-party suppliers.
Quotes and prices
Quotes show the total price, including taxes where applicable and our service fee. Prices and availability are not guaranteed until your booking is confirmed, as suppliers can change fares at any time.
Booking confirmation
A booking is confirmed only when we have received payment and sent you a written confirmation. Please check names, dates and details on your confirmation right away and tell us about any errors.
Supplier terms
Your travel is provided by the rail operator, hotel or other supplier, and is subject to their conditions of carriage and policies, including baggage, schedules, check-in and cancellations. We'll point out key conditions when you book.
Your responsibilities
- Give accurate traveller information matching government-issued ID.
- Carry valid identification and any travel documents you need.
- Arrive at the station in good time for departure.
Changes and cancellations
Changes and cancellations are handled as described in our Refund Policy.
Limitation of liability
We are responsible for arranging your booking with care. We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, injuries or losses caused by suppliers or events outside our control. We recommend travel insurance for every trip.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
